Pitch tool preview

Introduction

Pitch Tool is a script for REAPER that allows you to adjust pitch quickly and flexibly. It inherits the convenient pitch workflow features from Ableton while also introducing its own unique enhancements for an even smoother experience.

Installation

  1. Install Core modules
  2. Open Extensions -> ReaPack -> Browse Packages in the menu bar
  3. Find and install ek_Pitch Tool
  4. Execute script ek_Pitch Tool in the action list
  5. Enter licence or start trial for 14 days and restart the script. You can get license key here. It's free!

Main workflow

Pitch control is inspired by Ableton:

  • When the Warp button is off, changing the pitch affects the playback rate and compensates the item length accordingly.
  • When Warp is on, pitch-stretching mode is enabled.
  • You can also reset pitch changes using the Clear button.

Multi-mode

If you select multiple items, you can control the pitch for all of them at once.

You can dock the window, and it will automatically adjust to fit the dock size.

Tooltip view

The script comes with an additional script — ek_Pitch Tool - Tooltip (background) — which displays a small tooltip above the selected item, allowing you to control pitch on the fly.

You can also adapt the appearance of the window to match your REAPER theme using the About menu option.
