Using Pinia app crashes with Error: The requested module 'vue-demi' does not provide an export named 'hasInjectionContext'

Steps to reproduce the bug

Similar issues online say it's a pinia version thing but nothing works.
Started experiencing this whole migrating from Vuex to Pinia following: https://pinia.vuejs.org/ssr/nuxt.html

Expected behavior

pinia to work with Nuxt3 seamlessly

Actual behavior

App crashes and cannot get the server to start.

This error means you are using an outdated version of vue-demi. Use pnpm dedupe, pnpm why, and pnpm update to ensure you are using the latest version.

BTW, this is unrelated to pinia

Got same error when use latest vue-demi

Resolved by dcloudio/uni-app#4350 (comment).

My Problem cause by other framework...
The framework override Vue module...

I have the same problem as you. How did you solve it?

I'm not sure why, but I'm finding that the latest vue-demi release (0.14.10) is NOT working.

Workaround: If I set my pnpm.overrides to [email protected], I no longer have this error.

I tried setting the overrides to 0.14.10 just to see if something maybe internal was old, but that threw this injection error:

With the removal of vue-demi in v3, this error happens again with Vue 2.7 as it does not have hasInjectionContext backported, (even 2.7.16). So we might ship a custom implementation or rather mark pinia 3 as vue 3-only package
