StackOverflowError

I've had some fun and done major refactorings and moved things around in my https://github.com/enola-dev/enola/.

With that, as of https://github.com/enola-dev/enola/tree/bd07df1899be47dbe7895101d36f15db44f0f9f3, I'm getting a (reproducible) StackOverflowError...

@guw do you have any idea what's causing this StackOverflowError, and how I can fix it in the project? (Is this enola-dev/enola#431, still? I thought I had removed that problem in enola-dev/enola#641.)

I think this is caused by a dependency cycle. The code may need a protection for this.
