I renamed my "develop" script to "dev" because I'm lazy. Got this error:

Yep, gatsby site.

You might try running the first script that you find that:

1. is called develop
2. is called dev
3. is a script by any name that starts with "gatsby develop"

That'd probably cover 99% of your cases. If none of those work, then logging a better error would be good 👍

Looks like we need to extend gatsby "detector" https://github.com/netlify/netlify-dev-plugin/blob/master/src/detectors/gatsby.js#L7

@biilmann This issue will arise across the various detectors if dev change the default commands.

We will want to look for command patterns npm start, npm run dev, npm run serve, etc. and probably allow a custom override via the [dev] block of netlify.toml

Something like:

• make netlify.toml dev block override everything refactor cmd to command, document, and make netlify.toml dev block overrides explicit #67

tested and works on kentcdodds.com
