Keyboard disappearing all of a sudden

Describe the bug

We are using TMPInputs for our users to input some notes.
When pressing into the input field the keyboard pops up.

But while tipping it can happen that all of a sudden the keyboard disappears again, sometimes after like 2 seconds, sometimes after 15seconds. Although no closing action is executed.

To reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Add a TMPInput field onto a panel in a unity scene.
Build the application.
Select the input field and check if the keyboard appears and remains until you close it.

Expected behavior

I'd expect the keyboard to remain visible until we close it using the 'x' on the top right.

Have been seeing the same problem in my application. Sometimes the keyboard just disappears without any input, even if I have my hands out of the FOV

@MaxWang-MS Meaning we'll have to wait until Unity fixes the issue?
Is there not possibly something that could be changed on the MRTK side?

You will have to wait for Unity to fix the bug as the code with bug is in Unity's engine (not even in the TMP package). Meanwhile you can try to rollback to a previous version (given Unity's comment that this seems to be related to one of their recent fixes) or upvote on the issue. The TMP input field and the touch screen keyboard are all implemented by Unity.

Looks fixed in Unity 2020.3.19+ and 2019.4.31 (I tested it in 2020.3.20)

I'm using Unity 2021.1.12 version. Can't you fix it?
Currently, the version with this issue resolved is not available because the package manager has not been called normally.

@yeongjuBae For Unity 2021.1.x is fixed in version 2021.1.22 (Patchnotes).

There is no mention of the issue in patchnotes for Unity 2021.2.x or 2022.x, maybe it was fixed in the first release already, or still to be deployed.
