pixterism is a portmanteau of pixel and asterism and has no hits on google. "An asterism may be understood as an informal group of stars within the area of an official or defunct former constellation, or crossing the boundaries of two or more constellations." |

viewxels, vuxel or vuxels seems to be (almost) unique

If you consider item widgets to be like stars, and a collection of widgets (i.e. container items) to be constellations, an asterism is an apt description of framework in this extended metaphor.

I like most of the suggestions however ideally, I'd like to keep the package name on pypi pixels and voxels. So we don't necessarily mean a play of the words. More of adding to the words, i.e. Pixels UI. I don't mean to be picky but I'm also not a big fan of slapping "py" in the title. |

Coming from the VFX community, I'd expect libraries named "pixels" and "voxels" to have something to do with primarily converting, manipulating, or otherwise processing images and volumes, respectfully. Why not just Or if you absolutely must, Also, I feel compelled to note there's a "retro game engine" project on pypi named pyxel. I don't think "pyxel" is a wonderful name for that project either : ) |

Why is DearPyGui no longer good enough? Why are the previous decisions no longer good enough? Greetings from Michael, Germany |

I will say, you guys have made me realize Pixels/Voxels may not be the best choice... |

I'd say you have a good enough name, stick with it. It's not horrible, and the cost to users of finding help from 3rd-party sources when the name changes would be pretty disruptive. If you're looking for a good name for the 3D thing, make it a closer cousin to DearPyGUI, like DearPy3D. The symmetry and the differentiation with that pair is very self-explanatory. It also leaves room to build on your good heritage with other things like DearPyEditor, DearPyAudio, DearPyNet, etc. |

If you are to differentiate yourself from Yet if you are also integrating a 3D part as well, this project is turning into a full blown UX engine, so why not something like My 0.02€ |

Renaming Dear PyGui
As many already know, we plan on renaming Dear PyGui in the future. We believe we have finally settled on names (at least for the packages themselves).
We have reserved (on pypi) the name pixels for Dear PyGui and voxels for the eventual Dear PyGui 3D engine. For example:
However, the names pixels and voxels are too generic and would be very hard to search for online so we'd like to expand on these names for the "official" name of the library (website, documentation, repo, etc.). For example, DPG Pixels, Awesome Pixels, Stinky Pixels, or whatever. If you have any good ideas, please leave them below. Nothing silly and please don't waste our time. Only post serious contenders.
Bonus points if you can come up with a logo or any other branding material.
