Code Review
This pull request, managed by Renovate, updates the com.google.cloud:google-cloud-trace dependency from version 2.79.0 to 2.80.0 within the sample project POM files. While the update is correctly applied in the modified files, I've identified an inconsistency with other parts of the repository. The main google-cloud-spanner/pom.xml still references older, hardcoded versions of google-cloud-trace and its related proto-google-cloud-trace-v1 dependency for tests. I've added a review comment to highlight this, recommending that all related dependency versions be aligned and centrally managed to ensure consistency and prevent potential classpath issues.

This update to trace.version is not consistently applied across the repository. The google-cloud-spanner/pom.xml file still uses older, hardcoded versions for trace-related test dependencies:
google-cloud-traceis at version2.76.0.proto-google-cloud-trace-v1is at version2.79.0.
Since google-cloud-trace:2.80.0 depends on proto-google-cloud-trace-v1:2.80.0, this version mismatch can lead to classpath conflicts and makes the project harder to maintain.
To ensure consistency, I recommend updating these dependencies in google-cloud-spanner/pom.xml as well. Ideally, these versions should be managed in the root pom.xml's <dependencyManagement> section to avoid such issues in the future.

Code Review
This pull request updates the com.google.cloud:google-cloud-trace dependency from version 2.79.0 to 2.80.0 in the pom.xml files for two sample projects. This is a routine dependency update, and the change itself is correct. While reviewing, I noticed that other modules in the repository use different versions of google-cloud-trace and related artifacts. This is outside the scope of the current changes, but it might be beneficial to align these dependency versions across the project in the future to improve maintainability.
