Inconsistent search results when using /search/simple

Hey, for some reason not all notes are found succefully, despite earhing for the exact name and subdirectory.

no problem. For instance, i have several notes with with word "prompt" in their title. But when searching only a few appear (actually just 4)...

I mean, in the actual search results (search/simple) there are a lot of notes, but if then i filter by filename, with the word promp in it, only 4 remains.

I'm afraid I'll need more than that -- can you attach the actual files you're not finding as well as the actual request you're making? Without that, there's no test case I can set up.

You can use httpie's -v option to have it print the raw request and response.

Great, I think that's enough information for somebody to at least try to see if your issue can be reproduced.

It might be a few weeks before I can find the time to do this investigation myself, but if anybody else comes across this issue before I can get to it and is able to reproduce this problem, or, better yet, post a PR fixing it, that would be amazing.

I'm afraid I haven't been able to reproduce any inconsistencies in my tests around this. Here's my working example:

1. I've uploaded this file and stored it in my vault as issue_172.md: issue_172.md
2. I run the following httpie command repeatedly: http -v --verify=no --auth-type=bearer --auth="REDACTED" POST http://127.0.0.1:27123/search/simple/\?query\=f486e851-f665-413b-aa9f-faacff6b7a36
3. I see exactly the following result for each response:

Since I can't reproduce this, I have to assume that this is a problem unique to your environment or other Obsidian extensions you have installed are interfering, but you can do either of the following two things to move things further forward:

1. You could create a new vault with only this extension installed and create a runnable script that, when I try to run it against that vault, this problem recurs. If you push this up to a Github repository, I'd be glad to run it, and if I can reproduce it I'll have a chance at finding a fix.
2. You could look at the code powering this, find the flaw, and post a PR fixing it. I have to say that when looking into this bug, I did find a ¹, but otherwise, the logic is short and delegates most of its work to Obsidian's own APIs. So, a bug, if you were to find it, would very possibly be in Obsidian itself.

I wish I had a better idea of how to help you with this, but I'm sure you understand that contributors like me are volunteers and our time is very limited; so without being able to reproduce the problem, I can't move forward on my own on this.

Maybe I have this kind of issue too. I have a document that is named 1 - Master Plan.md, but the simple search endpoint via ?query=Master%20Plan yields some notes but never this one.

If I write the term "Master Plan" down in the content of the note, it is found.

So I think the main problem here is maybe, that the title isn't respected in the search. Can we change this?
