I have a new installation of HyperHDR. When I attempt to run the calibration, I get the following message:
I have tried changing various options in the settings, but I always receive this same message. Looking at the code, it appears that the calibration has exceeded some limit, but I do not see how the error encountered. I have LibreElec/Kodi installed on a Raspberry Pi 5. I added the HyperHDR addon to install HyperHDR. This is connected to HyperSerialPico which is connected to the LEDs. I use an HDMI splitter and MS2130 video capture to obtain the signal. To run the test, I downloaded file calibration_HDR_yuv420_limited_range.mp4 and play it with Kodi. The calibration starts OK and reports that it has retrieved the various test boards and then starts calibrating the gamma values before the error is eventually issued. The log shows: Captured colors: 2025-10-05T09:11:11.659Z [CALIBRATOR] The first phase starts Calibrated: ` |

Can you give me a clue as to what I should check? When I turn on the LEDs, they look ok to me except that it the colors are a bit too red. The brightness seems just fine. As for the MS2130, I flashed it with the hyperhdr_f3 firmware. Is there a problem with this firmware? Should I flash it back to the original firmware? Finally, what is this preview window? I have seen mention of it in some posts, but I have not found a way to activate it. Is it somewhere in the browser interface? As you mentioned, if I could see that and get instant feedback when setting options it might help me figure out what is wrong. I forgot to mention that I am running version 21.0.0.0 |

The HyperHDR video preview window is always available with a button to enable video stream. Check the wiki. |

I finally found the video preview at the top of the left side menu and was able to track the problem to an invalid setting for Video capturing->USB Capture->Hardware Brightness control. I changed this to 0 and was able to complete the calibration successfully. Thank you for your help. |
