mcseis more verbose than is necessary for the standard errors we compute during ELPD calculation.seis enough. Also, it makes more sense to useseas a prefix instead of a suffix (e.g. one might abbreviate the standard error of the mean in TeX asmcsesuffixes toseprefixes.
