The purpose of The Soil Ontology and Informatics Cluster is to provide a community of practice to coordinate the development of soil informatics best practices and resources. To do this we will meet regularlly for presentations and reviews about semantic resources and soil harmonization projects.
We are an Earth Science and Informatics Partnership cluster and follow the ESIP community participation guidelines.
We have open meeting formats, you are welcome to just show up! You can find our exact meeting times on the ESIP community calendar. Generally, meetings will be every 4th Wednesday of the month at 1200 US-Eastern You need to register via the community calendar to get the zoom information.
Asynchronous participation is encouraged. We have a Slack channel #soil-info on the ESIP Slack. There is a low volume mailing list. You can watch recordings of many of our presentations at our YouTube channel.
