Have being using zed for some time now mostly due good vim mode support + speed (vscode has some issues with this).

As everybody knows zed updates very frequently and this comes with a price sometimes... breaking things, given that, i think a "rollback" feature would be very appreciated. I know we can build from source .. disable auto-updates etc.. but again, just a suggestion.

For example, on the menu below "Check for updates" a "Version selector" with last 3 .. or last one .. and when rolledback freeze the autoupdate.

I don't think this feature is very useful, you can manually download a specific version if you need it, or use the package management fallbacks.
Because zed uses rust, this results in updates that are all full volume updates, and each update is very large

well, thats exactly why its useful.. manually downloading.. on the package manager side, on brew, you dont have a formulae only the cask, zed downloads the latest version it seems.

Having a "rollback" version already downloaded would be very nice.

on second thought, the package manager is a better ideia.. putting in internally on the menu would require some heavy lifting, for example "where to put the old version" etc..
