Someone suggests I work with Lit (web components stuff), to manipulate some SVG (guitar tutorial stuff, as i instructor). Vue seems much more friendly than Lit, for example. Check out Yusef's music thing forked on my Github acct. after playing around w/ some stuff briefly, i see that all i really need to know (probably) is right here in official Vue docs, under FORM BINDINGS That's seems more like the way i'll learn it. trying to think of it...e g. like going from PHP to Python, i dunno. doesn't work for me like that (e.g. this is javascript. this is not javasciprt. this is a web component, but we don't really tell you that until the movie's over. etc |

a primary feature of my age-old project is a function that transforms a system path to a URL. I have the page setup to allow for some quick changes. the idea behind the app-- once cloned into a PHP enabled dev server-- there's a .sh file which sends the system path to the browser, and then the PHP app transforms it to a URL. it's guessing based on common paths, like /var/www/html, or /opt/lampp/htdocs , etc., to try to build a viable URL from e.b. /var/www/html/my/project/file.html.
it used to be "better" i was using ... the GitHub Copilot to mess around and it's messed-up now. haha. he didn't understand the concept of what i was doing with it. the idea is to have the selection drop-down w/ some basic stuff you might use. but maybe that's stupid and useless. copilot added the presets idea. i guess that's cool but it doesn't work correctly. if you play w/ the "Add Path" / Update URL buttons at
https://centrewebdesign.com/anniedebrowsa/public/index.php
The idea is to provide suitable options for the user to tweak the resulting URL w/ the mouse click-click-preview my page okay go sort of thing.
you'll see maybe what it was supposed to do.
it occurs to me that Vue may well be a great solution for this interface. I suppose i'm looking for it to be reactive? the radio-buttons cause the URL to go into the text field.
I appreciate any feedback. thank you!
EDIT: this is the most up to date branch:
https://github.com/ajaxStardust/AnnieDeBrowsa/tree/adminvps
if you check it out (master should work too)
git clone --branch adminvps https://github.com/ajaxStardust/AnnieDeBrowsa.git
then do
./i_am_become_url.sh ./index.php from the VS Code terminal (for example)
