Thanos compactor data

There is a lot fluctuation in data from compactor in terms of code as follows:-

compactor:
resources:
limit:
cpu: 500m
memory: 4Gi
persistence:
size: 50 Gi
....
....
....

I tried increasing the persistence size of compactor but still the fluctuation in data is there.

I donot have any problem in zooming. Please let me know how to flatten the curve or reduce the noise in data. Thank you
