I've looked at it a couple of times but I don't believe there's really much benefit we can provide over the official Jellyseerr image, unless someone has a particularly compelling use case that isn't currently possible and would be if we made our own image. |

Since the Discourse forum is being retired, I think it makes sense to recreate the Jellyseerr request here and I'd like to add to the case for including Jellyseerr.
The Jellyseerr project started over 3 years ago with the goal to add Jellyfin support to Overseerr. Since then, it has not only enabled support for Jellyfin, but Emby as well (both included in LSIO). Overseerr said it was working to add support for Jellyfin years ago but this never came to fruition. Jellyseerr has other improvements beyond Overseerr as well such as:
and on top of all of that, they are close to adding Lidarr support.
Overseerr development has stalled. Although there is still some activity, it pales in comparison to Jellyseerr.
Overseerr commits over the past year:

(Note: The y-axes are different.)
If that's a little unclear, then how about some numbers.
Over the past month (max range GitHub allows):
In over 2 years, Overseerr has only had one release while Jellyseerr has had 24 releases over the same period.
Let's compare GitHub star charts too.

We can see how Jellyseerr has surpassed Overseerr in both current stars and momentum on GitHub.
Jellyseerr may be a fork of Overseerr, but I think it's clear it has far surpassed and replaced Overseerr. I'm confident there are many LSIO image users who are currently using Jellyseerr from another Docker image provider because of how much better it is than Overseerr. For all of these reasons, I think Overseerr should be deprecated and Jellyseerr should be added as a supported image by LSIO.
Also, I just want to say thank you LSIO team for all your hard and continuous work to give us such a great, consistent, and reliable set of images to use.
