Copy/Paste UV Coordinates

Location: 3D View on Edit Mode

Copy/Paste UV among same/different object's faces.

Default

  1. Select face which UV will be copied
  2. Press key U
  3. Click Copy/Paste UV > Copy UV > [Default]
  4. Select face which UV will be pasted
  5. Press key U
  6. Click Copy/Paste UV > Paste UV > [Default]
  7. (optional) You can flip or rotate UV from tool-shelf option

Between specified UV maps

  1. Select faces which UV will be copied
  2. Press key U
  3. Click Copy/Paste UV > Copy UV > (UV map you want to copied)
  4. Select faces which UV will be pasted
  5. Press key U
  6. Click Copy/Paste UV > Paste UV > (UV map you want to pasted)
  7. (optional) You can flip or rotate UV from tool-shelf option

Copy/Paste UV Coordinates (by selection sequence)

Location: 3D View on Edit Mode

Copy/Paste UV among same/different object's faces.
Sequence of copy/paste depends on sequence of face selection.

Default

  1. Select faces which UV will be copied
    (You can select more than two faces)
  2. Press key U
  3. Click Copy/Paste UV > Copy UV (Selection Sequence) > [Default]
  4. Select faces which UV will be pasted
    (You MUST select same number of face to be copied)
  5. Press key U
  6. Click Copy/Paste UV > Paste UV (Selection Sequence) > [Default]
  7. (optional) You can flip or rotate UV from toolshelf option

Between specified UV maps

  1. Select faces which UV will be copied
    (You can select more than two faces)
  2. Press key U
  3. Click Copy/Paste UV > Copy UV (Selection Sequence) > (UV map you want to be copied)
  4. Select faces which UV will be pasted

Copy/Paste UV Coordinates (Among same objects)

Location: 3D View on Object Mode

Copy/Paste UV among objects.
Objects must be same topology.

  1. Select object whose UV coordinates will be copied
  2. Click Object > Copy/Paste UV > Copy UV > (UV map you want to be copied)
  3. Select object whose UV coordinates will be pasted
    (You can select more than 2 objects)
  4. Click Object > Copy/Paste UV > Paste UV > (UV map you want to be pasted)
    (If object does not have UV map, default UV map is selected)

Flip/Rotate UVs

Location: 3D View on Edit Mode

Flip or rotate UV.

  1. Select faces which UV will be flipped/rotated.
  2. Press key U
  3. Click Flip/Rotate UV
  4. You can flip or rotate UV from toolshelf option

Transfer UV

Location: 3D View on Edit Mode

Copy/Paste UV among objects with same topology.



  1. Select face which UV will be copied
    (You can select more than two faces)
  2. Press key U
  3. Click Transfer UV > Transfer UV Copy
  4. Select face which UV will be pasted
    (You MUST select same number of face to be copied)
  • You can select faces throughout more than 2 meshes.
  • If you have faces you don't want to copy/paste, hide them.
  1. Press key U
  2. Click Transfer UV > Transfer UV Paste
  3. (optional) You can control precision or strategy from toolshelf option when UVs are transfered incorrectly.

Transfer UV to multiple meshes

Transfer UV for unhidden only

Manipulate UV with Bounding Box in UV Editor

Location: Image Editor on Edit Mode

UV editing with Bounding Box in Image/UV Editor which likes Photoshop/GIMP's Bounding Box transformation.

  1. Enable Enable feature: UV Bouding Box from add-on preference
  2. Press Display UV Bounding Box on property window in UV/Image Editor
  3. Manipulate UV by Bounding Box (Manipulation follows the Photoshop/Gimp Bounding Box rules)
  4. Press Hide UV Bounding Box to stop manipulation

Move UV from 3D View

Location: 3D View on Edit Mode

Move UV with mouse in 3D View.
This feature is based on below add-on.
ADDON: Move the UV from the 3D view

  1. Press key U
  2. Click Move the UV from 3D View
  3. Press mouse left button to start
  4. Move UV by moving mouse
  5. Press mouse left button to stop / Press mouse right button to cancel

Texture Projection

Location: 3D View on Edit Mode

Project texture to mesh in View3D mode.

  1. Enable Enable feature: Texture Projection from add-on preference
  2. Select faces which will be projected
  3. Press Start on property of Texture Projection in View3D to start
  4. Select Image which will be projected to faces
  5. (optional) You can change texture magnitude and transparency
  6. Press Project to project texture to selected faces
  7. Press Start to stop

Pack UV (with same UV island packing)

Location: Image Editor on Edit Mode

Integrate same island's shape when Island Packing is done.

  1. Select faces whose UVs will be packed
  2. Press UVs > Pack UV in UV/Image Editor to start packing

Texture Lock

Location: 3D View on Edit Mode

This is same feature as "Preserve UVs" on 3dsmax.
Preserve UVs when you edit mesh.

Default

  1. Select vertices/edges/faces which you want to preserve UV
  2. Press key U
  3. Click Texture Lock > Start
  4. Transform vertices/edges/faces
  5. Press key U
  6. Click Texture Lock > Stop

Interactive mode

  1. Select vertices/edges/faces which you want to preserve UV
  2. Press key U
  3. Click Texture Lock > Texture Lock Start (Interactive mode)
  4. Transform vertices/edges/faces
  5. Press key U
  6. Click Texture Lock > Texture Lock Stop (Interactive mode)

Mirror UV

Location: 3D View on Edit Mode

Copy/Paste UV mirrored.
This feature is based on below add-on.
Addon: Copy UVs from Mirror

  1. faces which you want to mirror UV
  2. Press key U
  3. Click Mirror UV

World Scale UV

Location: 3D View on Edit Mode

Scale UVs along with mesh size.
This feature is based on below add-on.
[Addon] World Scale UV

  1. Select face whose scale will be measured.
  2. Press U key.
  3. Execute World Scale UV > Measure
  4. Select face which will apply world scale UV.
  5. Press U key.
  6. Execute World Scale UV > Apply

Unwrap Constraint

Location: 3D View on Edit Mode

Keep U or V coordinate when you unwrap UV.
It is similar to Maya's Unfold Constraints.

  1. faces which you want to unwrap
  2. Press key U
  3. Click Unwrap Constraint
