purchase once to use on two macs with different apple id

Hello there, please let me know if this is not correct channel for questions like this:

I am inclined to make a purchase on MMF3 to use on both my personal and work macbooks, I am wondering if I can make a single purchase and use it on both? I have read that the purchase will be sync over icloud, but I have different Apple IDs logged onto those two macbooks, one of them has a work Apple ID, is there any way I can still use on both with a single purchase?
