Unfortunately, I still can't update from 1.5 until TreeViewItem.IsExpanded #10309 issue is fixed.

Also stuck on 1.5 now because of this. I would like a release where bugs are prioritized instead of new features.

Why is it only 39.01 KB and not 100s of MBs like before?

The Windows App SDK has gone through a refactor. If you look in the dependencies for 1.8, you will find that this is where all of the size is.

But if you reference the main 1.8 Windows App SDK package in Visual Studio, then this will reference the rest of the NuGet packages automatically. It is only if you are doing things that are independent of MsBuild do you have to worry about downloading the packages separately.

I'm trying to make sense out of this. I see that Microsoft.WindowsAppSDK.Foundation version 1.8.250507001-experimental depends on Microsoft.WindowsAppSDK.Base of an unpublished version. Is it a bug, or am I looking at the wrong thing?
