But... you'd be seeing that exception because the server's disconnected during the SSL handshake.

Throw this error is I switch clash for windows(proxy tool) on.But I use requests had no problem.Can you let httpx can use when proxy tool opened.

I am using clash too, you can use no_proxy to by pass your test domains.

Could you be more descriptive?...

• Which URL are you accessing.
• Are you seeing the connection error occasionally or consistently.

It's looks like a valid connection error which is occuring due to the connection being closed during the SSL handshake. Perhaps there's better error messaging that we could be providing here, but it'd help if we've a replicable example against a public URL.
