MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 has a white CodeWhisperer icon on the icon of Apple in the menu bar

Expected behaviour

I hope there is no CodeWhisper icon on the Apple icon

Normal installation already exists, the only action I took was to upgrade macOS, and then it existed. Even after reinstalling, it still exists

Would you be able to do us a huge favour and film a video showing what happens when you quit CodeWhisperer (cw quit) and then reopen it (cw)

We have not been able to reproduce this on our end

Are you using any window/menu bar manager? Also it looks like @fynntang is using a CJK language, are you?

This may potentially be fixed in our latest build 0.14.1 - could you please check if this is resolved?

I have the same issue. I can confirm it is not fixed on 0.14.1.

I'm not sure how helpful this is, but if I've launched with a secondary display attached, then disconnect the secondary display, the extra icon goes away. I can confirm that the icon reappears after a cold launch with no secondary display connected, so it's not caused by that.

I also use Bartender to manage menubar items, but can reproduce this when Bartender is not running.

My system language is English. Happy to provide any more details.

It's actually stopped happening. I used to be able to reproduce it consistently. Nothing has really changed on my system either (to my knowledge). I'll reach out if it starts happening again or I figure anything else out.

I've had this issue quite a bit too. The only menubar manager I have installed is 'Hidden Bar'. I'm not using a CJK language (just en-uk) so don't think that itself is the cause.

It's quite annoying when it does happen as it becomes impossible to click the apple icon, as for whatever reason the CodeWhisperer CLI button takes precedence. Restarting CodeWhisperer generally fixes it, although I sometimes have to do it a couple times.

I'm using macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 and my CW version is 0.15.4

We haven't yet been able to reproduce this issue. Are you using a menu bar manager?

We've also recently updated to Q - can you try upgrading and see if the issue persists?

I have the same issue, I'm on Sonoma latest update, the icon is present with or without menubar manager.
I've noted this only today after full restart of my Macbook pro M2.
