MAPDL starts up but open_gui does not work.

Hello all;

Using ANSYS 22R1 with pyMAPDL version 0.71. The APDL instance starts up and is running. Can create geometry and query the instance but upon open_gui its fails with this error:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MMhh.. possible duplicated of #3993 ??

Sounds like it maybe related but somewhat unique. In my case the instance opens (locally). I can interact with the instance pythonically in preprocessing / solution / and post but when I try mapdl.open_gui() it crashes with the error shown. #3993 looks like they can open the gui but then it crashes when they try to close it.
