YT Music with Media Widget

Hey, just wondering if anyone knows how to get youtube music to work with the media widget? I've implimented it into my bar and it works great with everything else (such as media player), but doesn't seem to know that youtube music exists?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

YouTube Music, you mean the app, or are you talking about the website?

It's not an official app (as google sadly haven't made one), but it works exactly like the browser version and I assume is still recognised as a media player given dedicated media controls interact with it fluently

Did you try with the latest YASB?

I'm running the second-latest version (can't remember its number). I'll update it tonight and see if that fixes the issue. Thanks!

Ok, I have a slight problem... I'm running YASB on my school device and my school recently implemented a ban on installing apps through .msi installers (that includes msiexec sadly), which means I can't update it. Just confirmed that I'm running version 1.8.0. All good if it'd be too much hassle to get working, but is there a way I can get YT music working on my current version?

No, you can’t. You’ll need the latest version. You can simply try extracting the MSI file and overwriting the old one, or use Winget or Scoop as alternatives.
