+1 you might want to look into this fork of codex cli that adds some nice features on top, the stock codex doesn’t support custom slash commands for example |

I vote for this too. I use codex CLI on private projects just not to pay for each API call. I use Roo Code only at work where the company pays for it 👿 But would really like to use it on private projects via Roo Code. |

I created a proxy server that acts as an adapter that provides Anthropic compatible API for OpenAI endpoints. Meaning, you can only use custom instructions with API key. If you use oauth subscription, you can only use codex instructions. You can find my repo below: |
