Floorp 12 and 12.1 on repo PPA Debian/Ubuntu

Hi everybody,
I can no longer update Floorp.
I'm stuck on 11.30.0.
I installed Floorp using the Debian/Ubuntu PPA repository.
I want to stay on the PPA repository because it's more convenient.
How can I get Floorp 12.1?

Floorp 12 is released, but it is still not available for Ubuntu users 😭

I know that I can install Floorp 12 from sources using the .tar.xz archive, but I prefer the .deb format, because it reuses the already installed system libraries instead of installing their copies to a separate directory, which speeds up the startup time, decreases the RAM usage, and saves the storage space.

Also, with PPA, I can upgrade Floorp during the regular updating process together with other packages, and it will be updated for every user in the system at once.

Yes, we can have Snap and Flatpak, but they have the same problem - library duplicates, higher storage usage, slower startup time and application performance (because of sandboxing).

So, please update the Ubuntu Linux PPA with Floorp 12 deb package! Thank you!

This "discussion" will keep on being pushed down by others, till it gets into oblivion... unanswered.
I think by now the time has come to have a bit of consideration for your users and just post a clear a statement: will support come for Debian (and Ubuntu) via classic ppa or not and this is a dead end?
Because I would rather use a decent Firefox based browser, but hey - you are forcing me to use Brave.

I am tracking the deb build in here, and the deb build is tested at least it is working in the base of Floorp.

And there is another issue about linux build.
Floorp and Noraneko is failing to build PGO(Profile Guided Optimization) Builds, and it should be fixed.

The dev will try to merge this on Floorp in few weeks, and I am struggling about testing of distribution in custom debian package repository (here we are saying PPA)

Some OpenGL (ES) libraries seem to be missing. Try apt install -y mesa-utils to make sure they are installed. These utilities depend on appropriate libraries, so this is the easiest way to fix missing libraries.

These utilities also help you test if OpenGL (ES) works:

Yes, installing mesa-utils seems fixes this issue. :)

I had other issues like profile version mismatch (installing llvm-19 instead of llvm (maybe version 20) fixed),
wrong LLVM_PROFDATA path (currently trying to fix, using which llvm-profdata-19 instead of which llvm-profdata)
When I have update with it, I will share in this reply.

it has fixed the profile generation step!

Currently I'm experiencing another issue, and it seems rust version mismatch with llvm.
I'm trying the build with setting the rust version as 1.86.0 (last version that uses llvm 19)

Hi,
Personally, I removed Floorp with the repository.
I installed Floorp with the tar.xz file.
But I don't like it.
I have several bugs. Some extensions no longer work.
Importing the profile was a pain.
I've been testing it for several days, but I'm thinking of ditching Floorp.

Let me know which extensions did not work.
Floorp 12 has upgraded to Firefox 142 (as I know), and Floorp 11 is Firefox 128 (it called as ESR128).
Some extensions can appear as not working, if the extension don't support latest Firefox.

I should also note that Floorp is quite unstable for now.
When you decide to switch, I understand your frustration and respect your decision.
