In addition to our community on http://discourse.appimage.org/ (which is a combination of a forum and a mailing list) we use two chat channels:

IRC

#AppImage on irc.freenode.net. You can use any IRC client such as the XChat AppImage or the web client at https://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=appimage to connect.

This is a real-time chat, which means that you will get answers instantly if there is someone around who can answer them at that time. So hang around for some time, most activity is on the evenings (European time zone) and on the weekends.

Mumble

High-quality voice chat (think "phone conference on stereoids"). The AppImage project has a community on the Red Eclipse community mumble server, which you can join if you want to voice-chat with others.

You can use Mumble-1.3.0.glibc2.15-x86_64.AppImage as a client for Linux. The official client is available for Windows and macOS, too. Furthermore, there's third party clients for Android and iOS, too.

For more information, see https://mumble.redeclipse.net.

Server: mumble.redeclipse.net
Port: 64738
Name: Red Eclipse Community Mumble Server
Username: <same as on IRC or GitHub>
Enter room: AppImage project

Gitter.im

You can use your browser to connect. https://gitter.im/probonopd/AppImageKit

This is not a real-time chat, which means that you will get answers after some time (can be hours or days later) once there is someone around who can answer them.
